Madelyn Clampitt

Madelyn Clampitt, 90, of Marshall, formerly of Winkler, passed away Sunday, 
Oct. 17, 2010, in Marshall.

She was born Sept. 26, 1920, in Winkler, to Carson and Myrtle Hagler Fitch of
Winkler.

Survivors include her husband, John Layton Clampitt of Marshall; son, Ronny
Clampitt of Loco, Okla., daughter, Martha Johnson of Marshall; grandchildren, 
Cherise Johnson, Victoria Malony, and Walker Clampitt; sister, Mona Hamilton;
and various nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at New Hope
Baptist Church, St. Elmo.

Her body was donated to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
in Dallas.

Any memorial contributions are asked to be sent to St. Elmo Cemetery, St. 
Elmo.
