Johnette (Taylor) Clark

Graveside services for Johnette (Taylor) Clark, age 58, of Fairfield, were held 
at 11 AM, Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Driver Cemetery near Teague, Texas. Bro. 
Terry Skinner and Bro. Josh Gafford officiated at the service.

Johnette (Taylor) Clark was born on April 9, 1955 in Teague, Texas to Alfred 
Dale & Carolyn (Laningham) Hall. She was raised in Leon and Freestone counties 
and worked as a homemaker. Johnette enjoyed riding horses and going to rodeos 
and also loved arranging flowers. She was of the Baptist faith. Johnette passed 
away on June 4, 2013 in Fairfield, Texas following a lengthy illness. She was 
preceded in death by her sister, Janie Gafford; father, Alfred Hall; step-father, 
Ralph Slaughter and stepgrandson, Colby Ivey.

Survivors include mother, Carolyn Slaughter of Buffalo; son & daughter-in-law, 
Cullen & Mandy Pickett of Fairfield; Cullen’s father, Asa E. Pickett of Fairfield; 
stepchildren, Darryl Copeland & wife, Maggie, of Fairfield, Gala Ivey of Fairfield 
and Lanett Utsey of Fairfield; brother, Sonny Taylor & wife, Jamie, of Buffalo; 
several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
