Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Mexia Daily News Onlines March 29, 2002 William Clemons TEAGUE - Funeral services for William Clemons, 85, of Teague, will be held Saturday at noon in Teague Church of Christ, 1001 North 8th Avenue. Minister Jim Eubanks will conduct the services. Assisting will be Minister Robert Harper of Highland Heights Church of Christ-Houston, and Minister Thomas Foster of the Fifth Ward Church of Christ, also of Houston. Burial will be in Grove Island Cemetery (Freestone County), under direction of Moore's Angelic Funeral Home. Mr. Clemons, who died Tuesday, March 19, at his home, was born May 6, 1916. He had been a school bus driver for Furney-Richardson schools, also farmed and was a retired employee of Mexia State School. Mr. Clemons was a member of Westside Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eula Mae Clemons of Teague; five sons - William Clemons, Robert Clemons, Roy Clemons and Albert Clemons, all of Houston, and Jesse Clemons of Washington, D.C.; three daughters - Lurlene Washington, Barbara Randle and Lula Dirden, all of Houston; a sister-in-law, Ervie Mae Clemons of Dallas; three brothers-in-law, Leslie Armstrong of Austin, Nemiah Lee and Charles Synagal, both of San Francisco, Calif.; 16 grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Rodney Clemons, Christopher Dirden, James Clemons, Kevin Clemons, Keith Clemons, Stephen Dirden, Byron Gibson, Brian Clemons and Kyle Clemons.
