The Teague Chronicle - Dec. 13, 1918 edition Died The death messenger visited the home of Mr. & Mrs. Henry McWaters on May 28, 1918 and took from them their loving son, Clesson. The little darling was three years ten months and six days old at the time of his death. Death resulted from drinking kerosene oil. His death resulted about forty minutes after drinking the oil. Weep not dear parents and loved ones for our loss will be his heavenly gain. Round a narrow little coffin friends and loved ones gathered near for within that coffin lay the one we loved so dear, who is not dead but merely sleeping with Jesus where we all may dwell some day. The little one leaves to mourn for him a father, mother, four brothers and a host of relatives and friends. His remains were laid to rest in the Union cemetery in the presence of a large crowd of relatives and friends. Bro. Bounds of Wortham conducted the funeral services. Sleep on sweet Clesson and take thy rest. God called thy home, he thought it best. A friend
