DEATH OF WELL KNOWN CITIZEN

Freestone County lost another of its old and well known citizens last
Tuesday night, Mr. Winn COATS, aged 84 passed away at his home in Fairfield.

Burial was in the Lake Chapel Cemetery the following day. Eld. Herbert
MCKISSICK conducting services in the present of a large gathering of relatives
and friends from different sections.

Mr. COATS was born in England in 1842 coming to America when a young man and
settling in Freestone County near Young about 55 years ago. He is survived by
his wife and six children, Barnie, Warren, And Ernest COATS and Mmes Lonnie
HAYDEN, Roger YOUNG and Hoit RICHARDS. Mr. COATS had many friends who 
sympathize with his family and regret his passing.
