Tacker Cemetery.] The Fairfield Recorder - Friday, January 25, 1901 Page: 4 DIED Mrs. Amanda Cobbs, an old lady who lived with her son, Mr. Boyce Cobbs, in the southern part of the county, died on the 17th inst., aged 70. The deceased had been a resident of the county over thirty years, having come to Freestone with her husband, Charles Cobbs, in 1868 from Itawamba county, Mississippi. Her husband died in this county about fifteen years ago. Mrs. Cobbs was a good Christian lady, and a member of the New Providence Baptist Church. She was an earnest, zealous member, punctual in attendance at church and always willing to co-operate in church work. She leaves to mourn the loss of a good old mother, two sons and three daughters all of whom are grown. Her remains were interred last Friday in the Tacker graveyard, Rev. A. B. Tedder officiating.
