   Health is very good at present, the measles are all gone but they deprived us
of one of our best neighbors, Mr. Bois Cobb [sic, Boyce Cobbs]. He was a devoted
member of the Baptist church and loved by all who knew him. All was done that 
loving hands could do, but God in his mighty wisdom knows best. He leaves a
widow and five children to mourn his death. They have our deepest sympathy in the
hour of bereavement.
   A darling one from them has gone,
   A voice they loved is still;
   A place is vacant in that home,
   Which never can be filled.
