Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mary Evelyn (Wilson) Cockrell Tyler Morning Telegraph on 4/24/2007: LINDALE - Services for Mary Evelyn Cockrell, 89, Lindale, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home chapel, Lindale, with the Rev. Paul Ransberger and Howard Cockrell Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Lindale City Cemetery. Mrs. Cockrell died April 21, 2007, at her residence. She was born May 26, 1917, in Kirvin to the late John Lee and Mary Ann Smith Wilson. She lived in Lindale since 1956, and was a teacher and minister with Assembly of God Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cockrell Sr.; daughters, Elizabeth Wallace and Elda Mae Cockrell; grandson, Steven Wallace; great-grandson, Tim Bray; and sister, Vader Rushing. Survivors include son, Howard Cockrell Jr., Lindale; daughters, Louise Green, Lindale, Ann Vicars Bond, Terrell, and Naomi Sanches, Chandler; sister, Rosetta Lucas, Sulphur Springs; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five great- great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are grandsons, Johnny Lyn Sanches, Randy Cockrell, Terry Lindsey, Fred Wallace, Danny Wallace and David Vicars. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
