Mr. Sharon Kenneth Collins (11/16/07)
April 3, 1930 to November 11, 2007

Sharon Kenneth Collins was born in Freestone County, Texas, and graduated from
Buffalo High in 1949.

He moved to Dallas in 1954 after serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. Following
his service, he worked as a salesman for Gregory Concrete and Trinity 
Industries, and as a sales manager for Jackson Concrete.  He later bought
Gregory Concrete in 1977 and operated as Collins Concrete Inc. until 1989.  

He was an avid horseman, hunter and fisherman. A loving husband, father and
grandfather, kind and generous, he never met a stranger.  

Sharon is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marie; daughter, Beverly and her 
husband, Fred; son, Bryan; and grandchildren Candace Collins, Ben, Beth, John,
Anne and Will Treffinger; brother, Howard of Houston; sister, Mary Jo Hughes
of Hilltop Lakes; and Richard of New Caney.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Levi and mother, Minnie 
Gertrude French; brothers George Edward, Ernest "Happy" Gordon, Johnny
Willard and sister, Barbara Mae Charanza.  

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007. The funeral
was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007, at Restland Memorial Chapel.
