Henry Maclyn Compton 

Henry Maclyn Compton, "Mac", 85 year old La Luz, New Mexican resident died
Monday, February 27, 2006 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. 

He was born October 28, 1920 in Fairfield, Texas, the son of Joe Compton and
Ethel Cook Compton. 

Mr. Compton lived in Port Mansfield, Texas before moving to La Luz in November
of 2000. He was a member of the La Luz Baptist Church. 

He is survived by two daughters, Phyllis and husband Ernest and Julia and
husband Scott; one son Rodney and wife Ann, 11 grandchildren; and 5 great
grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Bob Compton. 

A funeral for Mr. Compton will be conducted at the La Luz Baptist Church at
11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 4, 2006 with Ron Tyson and Rodney Compton
officiating. 

Internment will be Knox City Cemetery with Military Honors at 10:00 A.M.
Saturday, March 4, 2006 with Rodney Compton officiating. 

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
