Mexia Daily News Feb. 9, 2005 Mattie Coslin Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Lee Coslin, 88, of Mexia, will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock in Porter Funeral Home Chapel-Mexia. Officiating will be the Rev. James Hooper, formerly of Mexia and now pastor of Hubbard First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Lost Prairie Cemetery. Mrs. Coslin, born in Cass County on Oct. 20, 1916, died Sunday in Parkview Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Samuel Coslin; a daughter, Doris Annitta Smith; two sons, William Theo Coslin and Donald Oneal Coslin; a granddaughter, Debra Fitzpatrick, and by a great-granddaughter, Jessica Stimpson. Visitation with family was Monday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at Porter Funeral Home. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey and Florence Coslin of West Columbia, Bobby Joe and Martha Coslin, Doyle and LaNell Coslin, all of Donie; a daughter, Ruth Heide of Mexia; a sister, Ruby McGee of Wichita Falls; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers are Bobby Joe Coslin, Jr., Darrell Coslin, Darren Coslin, David Coslin, David Kennemore, Ronnie Dean Foley, Rickey Foley and John Wayne Smith.
