Rev. MC Cox
Funeral services for the Rev. MC Cox of Fairfield were at 2:30 p.m. today at the 
Fairfield Christian Center.

The Rev. Cox passed away Friday.

Murlon Clifton Cox

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Fairfield Christian Center for Murlon 
Clifton (MC) Cox, 89, of Fairfield who died Friday at Tyler.

Mr. Cox was born Oct. 23, 1916 in Crosbyton and spent more than 70 years in 
Assembly of God ministry.

Services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. with the Revs. Eston Turner, Jr., Billy 
Paul Daniel and Crawford Spraberry officiating.  Burial was at Lake Chapel 
Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bobby Hester, Robert Grizzle, Stephen Daniel, Dan Grizzle, 
Sonny Daniel, Ronald Davis and Phillip Grizzle.  Honorary pallbearers were 
Philip Claunch, Mark Knickmeyer, Jarl Jackson, Skip Ziegler, Keith Hogden and 
Daryl Allen.

Mr. Cox is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Mertice and Earl 
Davis of Odessa, Murlene and Ted Grizzle of Fort Collins, Colo., and Jessie and 
Billy Paul Daniel of Fairfield; a sister, Mary Louise Ozbun of Granberry; 13 
grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lily Cox; and parents, Henry and Lena Cox.
