Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Mexia Daily News - Sunday, January 10, 1965 - Page: 2 Funeral Services Set Sunday For Freestone Native Funeral services for Robert Crenshaw, 69, of the Shiloh, Freestone County, will be held [problems with paper] Sunday at 2 p.m. in Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church, Plum Creek community. A native of Freestone County, Mr. Crenshaw died Friday at 4:30 a.m. in the Freestone County Hospital at Fairfield. He was a farmer and a member of Prince Hall Masonic Lodge. Mr. Crenshaw was a Baptist and a veteran of World War I. Officiating will be the Rev. J. E. Williams, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery, Freestone County, under direction of the Dorsey-Keatts Funeral Home. Surviving are his wife of Rte. 3, Oakwood; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Gilford, Mrs. Ruthie Mae Colbert and Mrs. Annie Ruth Cunningham, all of Route 3, Oakwood; five sons, Amos L. Crenshaw, John L. Crenshaw and Alton Crenshaw, all of Fort Worth, Engram Crenshaw and Leonard C. Crenshaw, both of Route 3, Oakwood; three sisters, Mrs. Daisy Styles of Austin, Mrs. Marie Townsend of San Mater, Calif., and Mrs. Georgia, Roberts of Palo Alto, Calif.; five brothers, Sylvester Boyd and Oscar Boyd, both of Austin, Johnnie Boyd of San Mater, Calif., Jimmie Crenshaw and Jasper Crenshaw, both of Chicago; and 19 grandchildren.
