Freestone County, Texas Obits Mexia Daily News - October 05, 2006 Naomi Culton Mrs. Naomi Culton, 98, of Mexia passed away Thursday, September 28, 2006, peacefully at the Haven Nursing Home with her grandson, James, by her side. Visitation began at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 3, 2006, from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., and with the family present from 6 until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Gibson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, LCR 901, Mexia with the Pastor, Rev. Stanley Johnson, and Rev. Bill Burton Officiating. Interment will be in the Cotton Gin Cemetery. Mrs. Culton is preceded in death by two sons: Clinton and Clarence Bluitt and nieces: Eleader Mims and Myrtle Biggers. Survivors include: Grandchildren: Candice Bluitt and Kimyetta Milus and husband, Deitrick all of Mexia and James Freeman and wife, Doris of Arlington, Texas; Special Nieces: Roxie Carter, Dimple Richardson and Vertie Lee Chatman; Nephew: Roy Daniels, A number of Great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Michael Hall, Lonnie Hall, Adrian Mack, Reggie Mack, Danny Johnson, Sr., Ricky Carroll, Chris Shepard, Lovo Smith and Eddie Lee Calhoun.
