The Fairfield Recorder Thursday June 15, 2006 edition Willie Marie (Tippens) Cunningham Willie Marie Cunningham, 78, died June 6 while surrounded by her family. Funeral services were held Saturday at Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Weldon G. Daniels and Cedric Adams officiating. Interment followed at Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Cunningham was a member of Hope of Glory Ministries where her son-in-law was pastor; she was also a member of J.C. Bogar Chapter No. 229 of Order of the Eastern Star and Heroines of Jericho, Cape May Court No. 400. She graduated from Butler high school of Oakwood and attended Butler college in Tyler. Mrs. Cunningham celebrated 59 years of marriage to O.A. Cunningham. She is survived by her husband; daughters Glenda Marlene Garrity and James of Dallas, Mildred Ann Marshall and Tonya Maria Adams and husband Cedric all of Fort Worth and brothers Emuel Tippens and Isaac Tippens and wife Ruth. Mrs. Cunningham is also survived by her grandchildren Demetrius Marshall and wife Tina, James Garrity II and wife Sonya, Jerrence Garrity and Laterrion Adams; great grandchildren Darren Owens, Montrell Shankle, Ray Shankle, Nicholas Marshall, Chassity Garrity and Destiny Garrity; god daughters Silvia Sterling and husband Bernard and Adelia Houston-Kirk and husband Ernest; god granddaughter Jasmine Rose; eight sisters-in-law and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives, neighbors and friends.
