Dorothy Bell (Shanks) Dabney

CORSICANA - Mrs. Dorothy Bell Dabney, 79, of Corsicana, died Sunday in
Corsicana. She was born at Kirvin on Feb. 6, 1926.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in Corley
Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Hutchison officiating. Graveside
services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Coolidge Cemetery.

Visitation with family is scheduled for this evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at

A Homemaker, Mrs. Dabney is survived by a son, Rickey Dabney of Corsicana; four
daughters - Mrs. Linda Hernandez, Doris Navarro, Beverly Yangmera and Diane
Montgomery, all of Corsicana; a sister, Mildred Smith of Mexia; three brothers
- Joe Shanks of Kirvin, Billy Ray Shanks of Fort Worth and Roy Shanks of
Conroe; 20 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dabney was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Dabney; by a son, Edward
Dabney, and by two great-grandchildren - Caytlyn Montgomery and Linda Angel
Hutchison.
