W.M. Davis

A memorial service is set for Sept. 7 in Thompsonville for former Fairfield 
resident W.M. (Dave) Davis who died Aug. 7.

Mr. Davis was born Jan. 13, 1930 to Jeff and Sadie Davis of Welder and followed
two career paths, as a mining geologist with Dow Chemical and as a mathematics
teacher at Shiner high school.

The memorial service is at 2 p.m. at Thompsonville Church.

Mr. Davis chose to donate his body to science.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; sons David, Jeff and Tim Davis; five 
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death are brothers Wayne and Johnny, and sisters Arlene and 
Merle.
