Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Teague Chronicle - November 10, 2011 edition ETHEL LEE DEAN Graveside services for Mrs. Ethel Lee Dean, 93, were held on Friday, November 4, 2011, at Liberty Hill-Taylor Cemetery in Farmerville, LA. Bro. Larry White officiated. Ethel was born on December 7, 1917, in Teague and graduated from Teague High School with the Class of 1935. Mrs. Dean worked as a newspaper journalist and was the first female journalist to work for The Teague Chronicle. She enjoyed writing poems and making and sending homemade cards. Mrs. Dean was a member of the Church of Christ. She passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2011, at the Teague Nursing Home. Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her parents, James Anderson and Minnie Ethel Fairly; one brother, James (Jimmy) Fairly; and one niece, Betty Fairly Huffman. She is survived by two nephews, James Hugh Fairly and wife Jean of Pasadena and Gary Glen Fairly and wife Martha of Hemphill; one niece, Patsy Fairly Neale of Mesquite; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousins as well as her husband's numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins from Louisiana.
