Gerald Lynn DeBorde

Gerald Lynn DeBorde, 62, of Dickinson died Monday, Sept. 14 in Webster.

He was born June 13, 1947 in Texas City to G.L. and Dott (Gehrels) DeBorde.

Mr. DeBorde ran his own construction company for many years and then went back
to school to help his clients prepare for their financial future.

He loved his family and was proud of his three grandchildren and one on the way.
He was an avid golfer, loved classic cars, the Texans and the Golf channel, was 
an amazing artist, and enjoyed repairing things.

Mr. DeBorde was married to his wife Linda for 43 years, whom he met when he was
15 years of age. The couple, considered soul mates, spent time together playing
golf for him and watching movies for her.

Survivors include Mr. DeBorde's wife Linda Tisdale DeBorde of Dickinson, mother
Dott Gehrels DeBorde of San Antonio, sons Sean DeBorde and wife Natalie of San
Antonio and Geremey DeBorde and wife Amber of San Antonio, and grandchildren 
Ashley, Delaney, Alexandra and Garrett DeBorde of San Antonio.

He is preceded in death by his father G.L. DeBorde.

Visitation was held Sept. 16 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home in Friendswood. 
Funeral services was held Sept. 17 at Friendswood Friends Church. Burial was 
Sept. 18 at Dew Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to the 
Gerald DeBorde Memorial Foundation, 250 Indigo Run, Bulverde, TX 78163, for the 
First Annual Gerald DeBorde Memorial Foundation Golf Tournament.
