DeFrance Sr. Funeral services were held 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 1978 at Capps Memorial *1* for Parke Waldon DeFrance Sr. Rev. Donal Pruitt officiated the service. Mr. DeFrance, 87, was born in Freestone Co. April 18, 1891 and died in Mimosa Nursing home, Keller Texas, July 10, 1978. Mr. DeFrance lived most of his life in Freestone Co., where he farmed. He also was a night watchman for Bucy Ingram Lumber Co. in Ft. Worth for 15 years. He was a member of Belmont Heights Baptist Church of Ft. Worth. Survivors include: four sons: Parke W. DeFrance Jr. of Trinidad, Texas; W.T. DeFrance of Enchinita, California; Billy Joe DeFrance of Alaska; Charles E. DeFrance of Fort Worth; three daughtersL Mrs. Walter (Lillie) Tackel of Ft. Worth; Mrs. Bob (Della Marie) Wilson of San Diego, California; and Miss Betty E. DeFrance of Abilene, Texas; 17 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were C.D. Anderson, Houston Flowers, Roy DeFrance, Rankin Gilpin, Lonnie Parker, Haynie Tyus, Claude James Anderson. Interment was in Antioch Cemetery [at Turlington].
