Arrangements by Capps Memorial Chapel, Fairfield. ================================================================== The Fairfield Recorder newspaper - Thursday, July 20, 2006 edition Sarah (Stoffels) DeFrance Mass of Christian Burial was held Sunday in Fairfield for Sarah DeFrance of Fairfield, 84, who died Tuesday, July 11 in Tyler. Mrs. DeFrance was born January 25, 1922 in Muenster, Texas to Henry and Sophie Stoffels. She married Jack Franklin DeFrance on August 9, 1945. She was an accomplished quilter and seamstress, and enjoyed gardening until the end of her days. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, with Msgr. Zach of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery [at Turlington]. Pallbearers were Randy Stoffels, Billy Joe Hoenig, Buddy Mullen, Danny Stoffels, Greg White and Ted Fuhrmann. Mrs. DeFrance is survived by her children, Billy DeFrance and wife Norma of Lanely; Margaret White and husband Dale of Fairfield; John DeFrance and wife Helen of Fairfield; Thomas DeFrance and wife Andrea of Red Oak; Dr. Ronald DeFrance and wife Debbie of Odessa; Patricia Barnett and husband Roger of Red Oak; Kenneth DeFrance and wife Karen of Dallas; Mark DeFrance and wife Glisa of Streetman; and Norma Bond and husband Joe of Fairfield; Brothers Charles Stoffels of Gainesville, Billy Stoffels of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters Clara Fuhrmann of Gainesville, Emma White of Garland, and Lucy Westbrook of Woodbine; 24 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a daughter, Shirley DeFrance; two brothers and one sister. Arrangements were made by Capps Memorial Chapel in Fairfield.
