M.,E. church at 2 p. m. Sunday for Vlaizie Lenell Demus, 31-year-old Negro woman who died on Jan. 21 at her home on Rt. 2, Mexia. The Rev. Pies Lewis, of Teague will officiate and burial will be at the Grove Island cemetery. The Dorsey-Keatts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Miss Demus was born in Mexia on March 20, 1922, and lived in Mexia most of her life She was a member of the Union Primitive Baptist church. She is survived by her mother Mrs. Alvis Demus, Mexia, and eight sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Ransom and Onnie Lee Demus, both of Norfolk, Va., Helen Demus. Prairie View, and Ida Florine Demus, Ada Lorine Demus, Sylvia Demus, Lola Jean Demus, and Azerlean Demus, all of Mexia. Also surviving are eight brothers, William R. and James Demus, Los Angleles, Calif.; Mitchell Demus, Pasadena, Calif.; Milton, Floyd, Boyd and Benny Demus, all of Mexia, and Lloyd Demus, now in Germany.
