Richard Wayne Derrick

Services for Richard Wayne Derrick, 67, of Fairfield, will be at 3 p.m. today at 
Fairfield Cemetery with Rick Howerton officiating. Burial will follow under the 
direction of Capps Memorial Chapel of Fairfield.

Mr. Derrick died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

He was born May 23, 1935 in Snyder to Thomas R. and Geraldine Davis Derrick.

Mr. Derrick was a retired construction contractor. He had lived in Fairfield for 
the last four years. He served in the United States Army.

Mr. Derrick was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Timothy Wayne Derrick, in 
1989.

Mr. Derrick is survived by his wife, Connie Derrick of Fairfield; daughters, 
Marva Towns of Whitney, Tammy Derrick of Little Elm and Jeanna Kay Derrick of 
Fairfield; son, Ronnie Lee of Whitney; brothers, Curtis Derrick of Whitney and 
Tony Carroll of Sulphur Springs; sister, Billie Gray of San Angelo; eight 
grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
