Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle January 17, 2008 edition LYLA MAE KEETON DIALS On November 29, 1923, in Freestone County, Texas, Albert Keeton and Lovie Mae Cornish became the proud parents of Lyla Mae. She was the second of three children. Lyla Mae accepted Christ at an early age and united with Fairfield No 1 Church of God In Christ. Lyla Mae attended and received her education at Dogan High School in Fairfield, Texas. She received her Barber License at Fairfield Barber College. Later received her LVN License from Odessa College in Odessa, Texas. Lyla Mae spent her entire life helping others. Lyla Mae had many talents and used her knowledge in farming business as added support raising her family. On January 2, 2008, in Waco, Texas, Lyle Mae left her earthly body to go be with her Heavenly Father. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband J.C. Dials. Those left to cherish loving memories are: her son Donald R. Phillips of Desoto, Texas; her daughters Dorothy Burks of Fairfield, Texas and Diane Haynes and husband Elton of Odessa, Texas; her brothers Albert Keeton, Jr. of Waco, Texas, Willie Keeton and Lonnie B. Keeton of Fort Worth, Texas, Cooter Keeton of Paris, California and Henry Keeton of Gatesville, Texas; her sisters Alvia J. Johnson of Bullard, Texas, Dorothy F. Gossett of Lindale, Texas, Ethel M. Watson of Killeen, Texas; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Dials were held on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Fairfield No. 1 Church of God In Christ, J.H. Reeves, Sr., Pastor and Apostle David D. Ransom, Sr., Eulogist. Emanuel Funeral Home of Teague was in charge of the arrangements.
