Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle December 7, 2006 issue Ray Dickens Funeral services for Ray Dickens, 81, of Buffalo, Texas, were held on Monday, December 4, 2006, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo. Rev. Bill Rambo conducted the services and interment was at Buffalo Cemetery. Mr. Dickens was born on February 5, 1925, in South Houston, Texas, to J.E. and Lillie Buchanan Dickens. He passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2006, in Tyler, Texas. Mr. Dickens served in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked as an electrician and belonged to Electrician Local 716. Mr. Dickens was a member of the Buffalo Masonic Lodge where he was a Past Master and Buffalo Chapter of Eastern Star. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Dickens is survived by his wife Irene Dickens of Buffalo, his son Don Dickens and wife Cindy of Liberty, his daughters Donna Hatcher and husband Allen of Anahuac, Diane Dickens of Sea Brook and Debbie Williams and husband Norman of Buffalo. His brother Melvin Dickens of South Houston, his sister-in-law Linnie Dickens of Pasadena, his sister Dorothy Covell and husband Milton of Pasadena, his grandchildren Allen Hatcher, Jr., Darrin Hatcher, Renee Straney, Tara Skrabanek and Clint Skrabanek, great grandchildren Brittney Tolbert, Bailey Hatcher, Demi Hatcher and Trey Hatcher also survive Mr. Dickens. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers for Mr. Dickens were Masonic Past Masters. Memorial Funeral Home of Buffalo was in charge of the arrangements.
