       DR. D. W. DIES

  FAIRFIELD, Tex., April 16 - Dr. D. W. Dies, principal of the Fairfield college,
died at his home yesterday evening at 5:30 o'clock of congestion of the brain.
Dr. Dies was a prominent citizen of this county; took an active part in the 
late prohibition campaign and was a prominent candidate for the legislators at 
the last election.
