Freestone County, Texas Obituaries REBA DENNIS DODD March 6, 1922 - January 17, 2014 BIOGRAPHY Reba Dennis Dodd, 91, of Streetman and formerly of Grand Prairie, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 in Fairfield. Mrs. Dodd was born March 6, 1922 in Waldo, Arkansas; to parents Alton Drew and Flora McAlister Dennis. She married Jimmy H. Dodd on August 20, 1943 and they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this past August. Mr. and Mrs. Dodd had been residents of Streetman since 2005 moving from Grand Prairie. She was a 60 year member of First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie where she taught the four year old's Sunday School class for 44 years. After moving to Streetman she became a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Reba loved playing 42 and bowling and was well known for her homemade desserts. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jimmy York in 2009; a sister, Hazel Hendricks; an infant brother, James Dennis, as well as brothers, Harold and Charles Dennis. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Beverly York and husband Les of Streetman; Dennis Dodd and wife Lisa of Winnsboro, TX; Raymond Dodd of Dallas; grandchildren, Kevin and wife Kelli; Celina and husband Jon; Jonathan; Amanda; Tricia and husband David; great-grandchildren, Braxton; Keegan; Klay; Auston; J.D.; Camila; Morgan; Reed and Reece; one brother, Thurman Dennis of Magnolia, AR.
