DIED

It is the unpleasant duty of the Recorder to note again this week the death
of one of Freestone's esteemed citizens, Mr. J. A. Driver, who lived a few
miles south of town.  He died on Wednesday of last week, but the news of his 
death did not reach our town until Thursday after our paper had gone to press.
The deceased had been in rather feeble health for a year or two, but was sick 
only about a week before he died.  Though but a middle aged man he was an old
resident of the county, having come to Freestone years ago when comparatively
young.  Mr. Driver was an upright, honorable man. and in his death he county
has lost a worthy exemplary citizen.  He leaves a family of several sons and
daughters to mourn the sad loss of a father and last surviving parent.  Thus
one by one are the familiar faces passing.
