Dunagan and family were grieved to learn of his death which occurred at his home at Donie last Friday. He was about 76 years old, had served Freestone County as Tax Collector for two terms and at a later date he served two terms as County Treasurer. During the last ten or twelve years of his life, he suffered all the pains and afflictions possible from that awful disease, rheumatism, yet always met his sufferings with cheerfulness, patience and resignation. Mr. Dunagan had been a Mason for 54 years and the Masonic fraternity conducted his burial service at Union cemetery, the following immediate relatives being present: His wife, two sons, Jack C., of Dallas, and L. A. of Ft. Worth; and two daughters, Mrs. Alfred J. Barbee, of South Bend, Texas, and Mrs. Ollie J. Moody, of Tehuacana. There were also friends and relatives present from all sections of Freestone County.
