Award Dunbar

Award Dunbar, 85, of Corsicana passed away Monday, Oct. 16, 2000 at Mel-Haven 
Convalescent Center. 

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Morning Star Baptist Church, 1020 E. 
12th Ave., with the Rev. B.R. Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow at 
Resthaven Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Mr. Dunbar was born Nov. 11, 1914 in Streetman.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Gloria Christle Jackson.

Mr. Dunbar is survived by his wife, Mrs. Etta R. Dunbar of Corsicana; daughter,
Mrs. Lozell Brooks of Duncanville; grandchildren, Cecelia Cheatam, Cornelia 
Jefferson, Michael Christle and Harry Christle Brooks; nine great-
grandchildren; sisters, Velma Rhodes of Corsicana and Ardelia Peters of
Oklahoma; and a host of relatives and friends.
