We pray that God's blessings may be over them through their days of happiness and sorrow. Mrs. Emma Stagner Mrs. O.N. Newman W.N. Dunlap S.D. Dunlap ------------------------------------------------------ The Teague Chronicle - 3 May 1918 edition Sister M. M. Dunlap M. M. Dunlap was born May 28, 1842 in Jefferson Co. Tenn., came to Texas in August 1886, was married to J. W. Dunlap, and joined the church at an early age. She united with the Cedar Creek Baptist Church March 1904. She was a devoted member till God called her away yet it had not been her privilege to attend the church very often in the last few years, she made her home at Dew with her daughter, Mrs. Stagner. She was taken sick in her home and just lived a few days. Everything that loving hands and medical aid could do was done to no avail. Sister Dunlap departed this life March 6, 1918. She left to mourn for her four children, a number of grandchildren and a host of friends. Grieve not for she is not dead but just asleep with Jesus to awake in the resurrection morn. There is a vacant place in the home and a vacant seat in the church that can never be filled. Weep not children and friends, our, I insure is heavens gain. We cannot call her back but let us all be prepared to meet her in that sweet home where there will be no more parting. Resolved that a copy of this be sent to the Teague Chronicle, a copy be spread on the church book, and a copy be sent to the bereaved family. Josie Miller E.V. Jolly W.W. McKay Committee
