Hugh Dunlap TEAGUE - Funeral services for Hugh Dunlap, 74, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Dunlap, born Aug. 21, 1929, in Kirvin, and died Wednesday in Haven Nursing Home-Mexia. He was a Baptist and a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He and his brother, Rayford, served on the same ship. A resident of Mexia since 1976, Mr. Dunlap had been a bull/bronc rider and rode his last bull at the age of 57. He was a pipeline contractor for over 30 years. Mr. Dunlap was preceded in death by his wives - Sharlene Hill Dunlap and Edna Beard Dunlap, and by a brother, Claudie Dunlap. Visitation is scheduled for this evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home. Surviving are his children - Rick Dunlap and wife Paula of Teague, Lisa Philbrick and husband Larry of Liberty Hill; step-children - Rollie Winfree and wife Caron of Teague, Yvonne Fortson and husband Larry of Mexia, Bennie Phillips and wife Jennie of Groesbeck, Duane Beard and wife Taunya of Wortham, and Joyce Pereza and husband Louie of San Antonio; two grandchildren, Andrew Dunlap of Teague and Matthew Philbrick of Liberty Hill; a brother, Rayford Dunlap and wife Laverne of Teague; a sister, Ruthie Smith and husband Gerry of Granbury, and numerous step-grandchildren.
