Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mr. James Dial Dunnahoe (May 8, 1940-Oct. 7, 2011) Graveside services for Mr. James Dial Dunnahoe, of Kirvin, were held on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodland Cemetery near Kirvin. Bro. Benjamin Neely officiated. Mr. Dunnahoe passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011, at Providence Hospital in Waco. He was born in Quinlan, TX to Tommy Romie and Nettie Dale Ausley Dunnahoe on May 8, 1940. He married Brenda on June 1, 1962, and shared over forty-nine years together. Mr. Dunnahoe worked as a Union Insulator for forty-five years and was very proud of his career. He spent twenty-five years with the Local #113 in Corpus Christi and twenty years with the Local #21 in Dallas. Mr. Dunnahoe worked on numerous major construction projects in his career including the Alaskan Pipeline, nuclear power plants in Bay City and Glenn Rose, and Houston Lighting & Power - Limestone Generating Plant, usually serving as Supervisor or General Foreman. He retired in 2003 and with the help of his sons, built a wood-working shop in Kirvin. Mr. Dunnahoe enjoyed working with wood, especially cedar, and made new furniture and restored old furniture in his shop. He also collected antique Sears lawn tractors and rebuilt them. He enjoyed talking about his sons and grandchildren most of all. Mr. Dunnahoe was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Dunnahoe of Kirvivn; four sons, Todd Dunnahoe & wife Tracy of Slocum, Troy Dunnahoe & wife Danielle of Troup, Tadd Dunnahoe & wife Marcey of Kirvin, and Tayvis Wade Dunnahoe of Houston; four grandchildren, Mallory Shae Dunnahoe, Trisha Dunnahoe, Dalton Dunnahoe, and Tyler Dunnahoe; three brothers, Leonard Dunnahoe & wife Norma of Ingleside, Wayne Dunnahoe & wife Mary of Freeport, and Charles Dunnahoe & wife Marcia of Teague; one sister, Cathy Taylor of Wortham; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Dunnahoe was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Dunnahoe and his parents. [Bowers Funeral Home handled the burial.]
