Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Kathy Dvorak November 21, 1953 - May 25, 2021 Graveside services for Kathy Dvorak will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Bro. Jared Rogers will officiate. A visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home; before leaving in procession to the cemetery. Ms. Dvorak passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Lakeshore Village Healthcare Center in Waco. Kathy was born on November 21, 1953 in Chicago, IL to parents Albert John (Al) and Helen Marie Young Dvorak. She grew up in Illinois but moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin, later to Houston and several other locations including Mexia and Teague in 2005. Ms. Dvorak worked for several years at Mexia State School and Teague ISD for about 3 years. She loved making crafts, gardening, and enjoyed shopping at Hobby Lobby, Michaels and dollar stores. Kathleen was a member of One Church in Mexia. She is survived by one daughter, Angie Dyer & husband Gary of Cotton Gin; one son, Douglas Craig McKinney, Jr. & Bailey of Kempner; five grandchildren, John McKinney & wife Molly, Gary Dyer, Jr., Marquitta Benford & husband Matthew, Heather Wilson and Jason McKinney; two sisters, Diana Dvorak and Alberta Dvorak; niece, Nicole Fontes & husband Tony; aunt, Rose Waters & husband Ryan; other relatives and friends. Ms. Dvorak was preceded in death by her parents, Al & Helen Dvorak.
