LUBERA H. EGGINS

Funeral services were held Saturday at Haynes Memorial Church of God in Christ 
of Mexia for Lubera H. Eggins, 65, of Wortham who died April 7 at her home 
among family and friends.

Interment followed at Wortham Cemetery.

Mrs. Eggins was born October 18, 1945 as the seventh child of Bera and Lussia 
Hodge in Clarksville.

She grew up in Littlefield where she graduated from high school.

Mrs. Eggins was baptized in the Taylor Chapel Church of God in Christ by Elder 
Tas Betts.

She was married to James Eggins and together they lived in Odessa, Fort Worth 
and Wortham.

Mrs. Eggins retired from Wortham Independent School District and was a member 
of the Order Of The Eastern Star.

She was an officer in the area and district departments of Church of God in 
Christ.

Mrs. Eggins enjoyed reading her bible and collecting rooster figurines.

She will be best remembered for her willingness to help others.

Mrs. Eggins was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters Ocie 
Hodge and Lois Hodge Ross.

She is survived by sons Cornell Hodge of Wortham, James Eggins and wife Johanna
of Hawaii, and Jimmy Eggins and wife Courtney of Wortham; brothers Howard 
Hodges and wife Dorothy of Oklahoma City, OK, Preysol Hodge and wife Johnnie 
of Littlefield, Matthew Hodge and wife Mary of Dallas, Larry Hodge and wife 
Trudy of Odessa, Leon Hodge of Odessa, Tommy Hodge of Odessa and Charles Hodge
and wife Paula of Hobbs, NM;

Sisters Eva Lois Walker and husband Halee of Dallas, Lula V. Crayton and 
husband Melvin of Dallas, Doris T. Hodge Randolph of Grand Prairie, Bernice 
Henderson of Los Angeles, CA and Lena V. Williams of Littlefield;

Grandchildren Charmette Hodge, Andrew Kindrick, Baylee Kindrick, Dante’ Eggins,
Carla Hodge, Jada Eggins and McClinton Eggins; numerous nieces, nephews; other 
relatives and friends.

Officiating services were the Reverend Vernon Busby and Elder Tas Betts.

Making arrangements was Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home of Teague.
