Elliott, Jr., a resident of Teague, died on January 29 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco at the age of 82. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel, with Paul Gauntt officiating. Interment was at Driver Cemetery. Mr. Elliott was born in Teague to Clyde Clarence Elliott, Sr. and Minnie Alma Butler on February 19, 1923. He graduated from Teague high school in 1941. Mr. Elliott was known for playing RB on the school football team; he was a Baptist and served in the United States Air Corps during World War II. He achieved Technical Sergeant and was awarded the distinguished Flying Cross and Good Conduct Medal while serving. At home, Mr. Elliott was an avid gardener and loved outdoor activities including hunting. He worked for TRW manufacturing company for 30 years before retiring. Mr. Elliott is survived by his children Clyde and Barbara Ann Elliott of Tyler, Myra and Tony Morosco of Boston, Massachusetts, Brenda Lee Couppe of New Orleans and Bryan and Theresa Ann Elliott of Kirvin; brother Merven L. Elliott of Teague and sister Gloria Geppert of Kerrville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Bryan Augustus Elliott of Houston, Jason Karl Elliott of Conroe, Mark Randall Elliott of Conroe, Rachel Joy Elliott of Kirvin, Danielle Rene Harrison of Kirvin, Victor Morosco and Alexia Morosco of Boston, Massachusetts. Pallbearers were Bryan A. Elliott, Jason K. Elliott, Mark Randall Elliott, Bobbie Few, Richard Bregenzer and Wade Harrison. Arrangements were by Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
