The Teague Chronicle - July 18, 1919 edition Freestone Telegram Early Sunday morning after only a few days of illness little Ruby Jewel Epps died at the home of her grandfather, John Wren, of Providence. She was with us two short years and eight months. But loving hands and tender hearts laid her to rest in the Union cemetery. Little Ruby Jewel was indeed a little jewel. She will be greatly missed, her father will be lonely without her, but we should not weep as others who have no hope. Were it not for their separation the glorious gathering on golden shores would not be so grand to think about. We know our loss is her gain and that this little angel has gone to a home where there will be no pain there to meet her mother and sister who have gone on before her. May her good father realize that he will soon meet his loved ones in the sweet by and by where parting will come no more.
