Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Bowers Funeral Home Era Evans (January 14, 1931 - February 11, 2008) Funeral services for Mrs. Era Evans were held on Friday, February 15, 2008, at 2:00p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Paul Gauntt officiated. Interment followed the services at Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Evans passed away on Monday, February 11, 2008, at her residence in Mabank at Cedar Creek Lake. She grew up in Teague and attended Teague schools. Mrs. Evans loved to fish and really enjoyed living on a lake. She once caught an eighty-seven pound catfish and landed it all by herself! She was a wonderful cook for her family. Mrs. Evans was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by one daughter, Annette Arena Linebech & husband Rick; three grandsons, David Wesley Arena & Frank Sam Arena of Grand Prairie and Randy Hines of Phoenix, AZ;, one granddaughter; Jaime Hines of Irving and one great granddaughter; Brianna Marie Cunniff, one great-grandson, Brody Nathaniel Arena all of Grand Prairie; one brother, Huey York of Waco; one sister, Bobbie Gauntt of Teague; one aunt, Louise Ottea of Hearne; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
