Douglas Cummins and Rev. Joe Ballard officiating. Burial was at the Mixon Cemetery. Mr. Fails died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 in Tyler. He was born in Freestone County on Oct. 13, 1937. Mr. Fails was a member of Mixon Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a tool and die maker. He was preceded in death by grandsons Billy Earl Crutsinger and William Jack Fails, daughter Tonya LeAnne Partin, brothers Carl and Jim Billy Fails, and parents William and Laura Fails. He is survived by spouse Patty Sherian Fails, Mixon, daughters and sons-in-law Pamela Earlene Staples, Denton, Annecye' Fae and John Beasley, Mixon, Julie Allison and Pat Bartton, Mixon and Amy Camille and Kevin Huckabee, Mixon, grandchildren Jennifer Huckabee, Amande' Morse, Lyndsey Fabinski, Chancie Petty, Kendal Huckabee and AnTonya Bartton, great grandchildren Lauren Morse, Justin Kye Petty and Grasen Morse, brothers and sisters Vernon Fails and Toby Fails, both of Fairfield, Gertrude Paslay, Kemp and Linda Sliger, Jacksonville, and several nieces and nephews.
