FAIRCHILD DIES AT AGE 56 Plainview Minister Was Injured in Car Accident SOUR LAKE (Spl) – Funeral services for the Rev. Robert Royal Fairchild, 56, of Plainview will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Magnolia Assembly of God Church in Houston. The Rev. E.M. Yates, pastor will officiate, assisted by the Rev. H.G. Byars, superintendent of the District of Pentecostal Church, and the Rev. Bennis Heard, general superintendent of the Pentecostal Church of God of America. Burial will be in Rosewood Park Cemetery under direction of Houston Funeral Home. The Rev. Fairchild, pastor of the First Assembly of god Church in Plainview and a native of the Friendship Community near Roganville, died Thursday in the Freestone County Hospital shortly after an automobile accident on US 75 near Fairfield. Pallbearers will be Ben Parker, Don Ansohn, Dwain Fairchild, Gene Warnecke, and John and Charles Eddins. Honorary pallbearers will be all ministers of the East Texas and North Texas districts of the Pentecostal Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jo Fairchild of Plainview; two daughters, Mrs. Janelle Warnecke of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Dana Ramirez of Houston; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Margaret Ansohn and Mrs. Winona Parker of Houston; his father, J.W. Fairchild of Jasper; three brothers, J.C. Fairchild of Athens, Luther and E.A. Fairchild, both of Kirbyville; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Hawthorne of Port Arthur, Mrs. Annie Bell Stringer of Orange; Mrs. Johnnie Hawthorne of Kountze, Mrs. Bernie LeVaire of Sour Lake and Mrs. Corinne Matson of Oklahoma, and seven grandchildren.
