Mrs. Barbara Lynn (Ayers) Fisher

Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Lynn Fisher, 55, of Mexia, will be conducted
Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in First Baptist Church. The Rev. Marcus
Sheffield, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mexia Cemetery, under
direction of Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fisher, who resided for most of her life in the Mexia area, died Monday
morning in M.D. Anderson Hospital-Houston. She was born Jan. 5, 1948, and was a
member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School class for many
years.

Mrs. Fisher was a public schools teacher for 31 years, and had retired as a
second-grade teacher in the Wortham Independent School District.

Surviving are her husband, Junior Fisher of Mexia; two sons, Clint Fisher and
wife Stephanie of Mexia, and Josh Fisher of Mexia; a sister, Jane Remington of
Alvin; two brothers, James Ayers of Houston and Zack Ayers of Alvin; and
several nieces and nephews.
