Marie (Newman) Fitch
August 4, 1925 - March 4, 2014

Marie Fitch, 88, formerly of Winkler and Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, March 
4, 2014 in Burleson. Mrs. Fitch was born August 4, 1925 in Ft. Worth; to parents 
Ottie Franklin and Myrtle Brewster Newman. She married Billie Fitch on October 
22, 1942 in Ft. Worth and he preceded her in death in 2006. They came to Winkler 
in 1970 and later lived in Fairfield. She had been a resident of Burleson for 
the last seven years. Mrs. Fitch was always active in church and was known for 
her love of the outdoors and her deer lease. She loved camping, fishing and 
cooking. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 
three brothers and six sisters. Left to cherish her memory are three children, 
Billie Fitch and wife Marilyn of Azle; Genell Posey and husband Billy of 
Burleson; Owen Fitch and wife Jan of Henderson; six grandchildren; thirteen 
great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
