Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Skinner officiating, assisted by Rev. Paul Gauntt and Rev. Deward Mullen. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Capps Memorial Chapel. Mr. Flowers was born November 30, 1943 in Sherman to parents Floyd and Gracie Griffith Flowers. He married Nova Mullen on August 17, 1968 in Arlington. He had been a resident of Fairfield since 1972 moving from Dallas. He served as a police officer with the Fairfield Police Department retiring in January 2009. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Floyd Flowers and a grandson, Zachary Flowers. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Nova; one son, Randall Flowers of Fairfield; three sisters, May Belle Gibby of Howe, TX; Frances Johnson of Sherman; Gladys Sims of Davis, OK; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Erin Flowers; one great-grandson, Baxton Flowers.
