Jessie R. Fox

Jessie R. Fox, 76, of Oakwood, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 in Fairfield. 
Graveside services were 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2012 at Driver Cemetery 
with Rev. Ken Pruitt officiating. Visitation was Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Capps Memorial Chapel in Fairfield.

Mr. Fox, a retired heavy equipment operator was born May 26, 1935 in Leon County 
to parents Travis and Bessie Cuzzort Fox. He was a long time resident of Oakwood 
where he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oakwood. He married Viola 
Wilson on June 15, 1964 in Groesbeck and she preceded him in death on April 27, 
2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Henry; four 
sisters, Pearl; Irene; Annie Mae and Lorene. Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Left to cherish his memory are three children, Barbara Dotson and husband Billy 
of Fairfield; Paul Wilson and wife Lawis of Buffalo; Linda Ward and husband 
Willie of Fairfield; seven grandchildren, Jerry Dotson and wife Lisa; Rob Dotson 
and wife Lauri; Carla Sessions and husband Hammond; Johnny Ward and wife Lori; 
Chase Wilson and wife Barbie; Wendy Reed and husband Al; Cory Ward and wife 
Jennifer; twenty great-grandchildren, one brother, Raymond Fox of Kirvin; one 
sister, Rosie Thatcher of Palestine.
