Memorial services will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness on March 5 at 2 
p.m. for Chris Fredriksen, 87 of Winkler who died of injuries sustained in a fire on 
Feb. 11.

Mr. Fredriksen died on Saturday, Feb. 12 at Parkland Hospital amongst family and 
friends. The body was cremated.

He was born in 1922 in Manistique, MI.

Mr. Fredriksen worked as a brick layer and in 1941 he became a Jehovah’s Witness 
minister who volunteered on the construction crew which helps with disasters and 
church raisings.

Once retired, he worked part time at Jim Sander’s Signs in Winkler and continued his
volunteer work with the Jehovah’s Witness construction team.

Mr. Fredriksen is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dolores; children Sherry Snider 
of Keller and Frank Fredriksen of Westminister; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-
grandchildren.

A reception will follow the memorial service at Southern Oaks Community Center in 
Winkler.

The church is located at 626 W. Main St. in Fairfield.
