Obit of Benjamin Franklin Freeman  (12 Apr 1834-2 Aug 1899)

  Mr. Ben F. Freeman, old resident of Freestone and a prominent, substantial 
citizen of the Cotton Gin neighborhood, died on the 2nd inst., in Mexia, at the 
residence of Mr. Calvin Kennedy. We understand that he was taken ill there on 
returning from a visit to Corsicana. The deceased lived many years in this county
and had many friends and acquaintances. He had been in feeble health for several
years. His remains are interred in the Cotton Gin cemetery.

FREEMAN - Mexia, Texas, August 2.- B. F. Freeman an old and respected citizen of 
this community died this morning after an illness of a few days and was buried 
this afternoon at the Cotton Gin cemetery.
