Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mexia Daily News - Aug. 2, 2005 edition Mother Mary Frances Freeman Funeral services for Mother Mary Frances Freeman, 81, of Wortham, were conducted Saturday morning, July 30, 2005, at 11 o'clock in Smith Chapel Primitive Baptist Church of Wortham. Officiating was the pastor, the Rev. Rufus McClain. Assisting was the Rev. Joe Freeman of Walker Chapel of Odessa. Burial was in Wortham Cemetery, under direction of Moore's Angelic Funeral Home of Teague. Mrs. Freeman, who died Wednesday, July 20, in Wortham Rehabilitation Center, was born in Oakwood on Nov. 6, 1923. She attended school in Oakwood and spent her young life in Wortham and Mexia. She also spent many years living and working in Odessa. Mother Freeman served at Smith Chapel-Wortham and Ford Chapel PBC in Mexia. At the time of her death, she was a member of Walker's Chapel Church of God in Christ of Odessa. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, J.T. and Glodean Hunt of Odessa; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a host of special nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends. Pallbearers were Jasrric Turner, Milton Hunt, Darrin Hunter, Raymond Hunter, Anthony Hunt, Malcolm Hunt and DeNorris Sandles.
