Shirley Dean Barnes-Freeman

Shirley Dean Barnes-Freeman was the 4th child born to Jarrell, Sr. and Erma 
Barnes, and was born in Freestone County, Texas.

She went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 7, 2018 in the Methodist Hospital, 
Dallas, Texas among loving family and devoted friends.

Mrs. Freeman grew up in Freestone County and graduated from Booker T. Washington 
High School, Teague with the Class of 1961.

She was baptized in the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Fairfield, Texas.

She married Windrell Freeman and this marriage ended with her death.

Shirley was employed by Baylor Hospital, Dallas, Texas.

Mrs. Freeman is preceded in death by: Her parents: Jarrell, Sr. and Erma Lee 
Barnes and her brother: Arsby B. Barnes.

Those left to cherish her memory include: Her husband, Windrell E. Freeman, 
Dallas, Tx; Her sons: Cedric Freeman and Kenneth Barnes of Dallas; Daughters: 
Rene’ Barnes, Monica Jackson and Sabrina Freeman, all of Dallas and Teresa 
Johnson of Houston ; Sisters: Opal Montgomery, Kentucky; Ivorye West and Rutha 
Polk, all of Dallas, Tx; Mildred Anderson and husband, Eddie, Conroe, Tx; 
Brothers: Jarrell Barnes, Jr, Fairfield, Tx; Lewis Barnes and wife, Teresa, 
Mexia, Tx; Otha Barnes and wife, Sandra, Pleasant Grove, Tx; Donald Barnes, 
Dallas, Tx; 16 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews 
and other relatives and friends.
