Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle March 6, 2008 Issue SHAWN ALLEN FRYAR Memorial services celebrating the life of Shawn Allen Fryar, 33, were held on Friday, November 30, 2007, at Addison Funeral Home in Spring, Texas. Pastor Tierce Green from Fellowship of The Woodlands and Mr. George Hood officiated. Shawn passed away on November 26, 2007, as a result of a tragic fall from a ladder in Houston, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas but by choice Shawn spent most of his childhood with his much loved grandparents, Al and Jean Tisdale in Teague and Sam and Hazel Perry in Groesbeck. After he started school, Shawn continued to spend almost every weekend and summer in Teague, rarely letting Granddad slip out of his sight. Shawn was a 1993 graduate of Nimitz High School in Houston, Texas. After graduation, he became involved in transitioning to adulthood in Houston, a somewhat painful process since Granddad and Mim wouldn’t cooperate and move to Houston. Shawn knew how to live life to the fullest, without fear. He was loyal to his friends, patriotic, and proud of our country and state. Shawn frequently helped acquaintances with whatever they needed, regardless of the financial impact to him. Shawn loved his family with all his heart and would have given his life for them. Shawn is survived by his wife Cynthia Fryar of Spring; his five year old daughter Rachel Fryar of Spring; his mother Kathy Fryar of Spring and father Leslie Fryar of Riesel; his grandparents Al Tisdale of Teague, Hazel Perry Clark and husband Mike of LaPorte; parents-in-law Albert and Cecile Fake of Houston; his sisters Angela Fogle and Kristi Fryar of Houston; brother-in-law Alan Fake and wife Kimberly of Porter; sister-in-law Cristi Fake of Houston; aunts Debbie Kilgore of Spring, Pam Barrow of Deer Park; uncle Gary Perry and wife Debbie of La Porte; great aunts Nell Winkler and husband Clayton of Killeen, Mary Clark of Dallas, Linda Huffman and husband James of Teague, Sue Nichols of Teague, Jennifer Parson and husband Bobby of Teague, great uncle John Nichols and wife Edna of Teague; numerous cousins, other relatives and special friends (some of whom are now “old men’ from Teague that he still carried in his heart from his days of growing up in Teague).
