She made it her life's work serving others as a long time waitress, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and mother in law. She always loved to help others; she never could do too much. Her prize-winning cakes were high sellers at many of our county's charities and fundraisers making her very well known and often loved. She was long time supporter of her grandchildren's involvement in the Freestone County 4-H program, for which she diligently cooked an Italian Cream cake to be auctioned off each year at the annual awards banquet. The doors to "Baby's house" were always open and everyone found that upon entry they would find a pot of warm coffee, more conversation, and as much love as one person could bestow on us. As children and grandchildren, we all enjoyed many Sunday afternoon dinners at "Mimi's house". It could not be Sunday dinner without fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and homemade rolls. Mrs. Baby not only enjoyed cooking for her family, but as many friends as well. She would often call her closest friends on the telephone to ask them to come and get something that she had cooked. Her father gave her the nickname "Baby" and she showed many of us the reason for that name by treating us with such sweetness and love. Mrs. Baby Fryer meant many things to many people, but to the family, she touched each of us in a very special way. She lived her life very unselfishly and with great humility, making her the person that we all love and will deeply miss. She was a member of VFW 5802 Ladies Auxillary. She worked in Restuarants in Faifield mainly for the Daniels Family.
